A Legacy of Ranching & Livestock
Brynn’s family has been a part of Penrose, Colorado’s agricultural history for generations. Her grandparents once owned and operated a thriving apple orchard, and her parents were heavily involved in the horse industry in the 1970s and 80s. Over the years, they have raised elk, bison, reindeer, big horn sheep, mountain goats, and cattle, running multiple businesses in the area.
Despite primarily raising elk during Brynn’s childhood, cattle have always been a part of their story. Ranching has always been woven into their way of life, and Brynn and her brother grew up deeply involved in the family farming raising their own rabbits, chickens, and lambs, learning firsthand the hard work and dedication required to care for livestock.
Keith’s family history in ranching is just as rich. His grandparents’ families operated some of the largest cattle ranches in Westcliffe, Colorado, owning most of the valley at one point. That legacy lives on, with Keith’s relatives still running cattle operations today.
Keith’s parents grew up near that ranching lifestyle and later became truck drivers, finding themselves hauling livestock to sale barns across the state. From a young age, Keith was surrounded by the cattle industry, giving him a deep respect for the people who raise, care for, and transport livestock.
Together, Brynn and Keith’s combined backgrounds in ranching, agriculture, and livestock have shaped Acres of Berry into what it is today—a family-run farm dedicated to raising high-quality, pasture-raised beef with integrity and care.

Our Beef Operation
Our beef sales are a family partnership, working alongside Brynn’s parents and their cow-calf operation to provide high-quality, pasture-raised beef. Our cattle are raised on open pastures, spending summers in the foothills of Cañon City and winters grazing the plains of Manzanola. This seasonal migration mimics natural grazing habits, resulting in healthy, well-adapted cattle that produce incredibly flavorful, nutrient-rich beef.
We specialize in custom bulk beef shares (¼, ½, and whole beef), as well as individual cuts, ground beef, jerky, and sausages. Our cattle are:
✔ Pasture-raised and grass-fed – Never grain-finished
✔ Free from growth hormones & routine antibiotics
✔ Butchered at 30 months for superior marbling and flavor
✔ Dry-aged for improved tenderness -
Sustainability & Tradition
For us, farming is more than a livelihood—it’s a legacy. Every decision we make prioritizes sustainability, ensuring our land remains productive and healthy for generations to come. Through rotational grazing and responsible herd management, we uphold time-honored practices that benefit both our cattle and the environment.
