How It Works:
1️⃣ Place Your Order – Reserve your share with a $300-$1000 non-refundable deposit (applied to your final total).
2️⃣ Butchering Notice – You will be notified when butchering is 30 days away, giving you time to prepare and submit your custom cut sheet to the processor.
Note: May delivery is scheduled to go to butcher April 29th
3️⃣ Processing– Your beef will be harvested, dry-aged, and cut for you- you don't have to do anything except pickup your beef.
4️⃣ Final Payment & Pickup – You’ll pay the remaining balance on or before picking up your beef.
** You must be able to pickup your order in Southern Colorado or make arrangement with us ahead of time - we do not offer shipping on partial beef.
Pricing & Processing Fees:
🐂 Beef Price: $6.99/lb hanging weight (final cost based on actual weight)
🔪 Processing Fee (paid to butcher):
- ¼ or ½ Beef: ~$1.60/lb hanging weight
- Whole Beef: ~$1.40/lb hanging weight
✅ Custom Cut Sheet: You get to choose how your beef is cut! You’ll work with the butcher to select steak thickness, roast sizes, ground beef packaging, and more. Any upgrades (such as single wrapping, patties, added fat, jerky, or sausage) are available at an additional cost.
How Much Beef Will You Get?
Our cattle typically weigh ~1,200 lbs live, but can range from 900-1,500 lbs. After processing, the breakdown looks like this:
📌 Hanging Weight (what you pay for): ~60% of live weight
📌 Final Packaged Beef (what you take home): ~65-70% of hanging weight
Estimated Weights Per Share:
- ¼ Beef → ~180 lb hanging → ~117-126 lb packaged
- ½ Beef → ~360 lb hanging → ~234-252 lb packaged
- Whole Beef → ~720 lb hanging → ~468-504 lb packaged
